Elly Aron Crowned Miss World Namibia 2026, Ready for 73rd Miss World Festival
Elly Aron has officially been crowned Miss World Namibia 2026 and will represent Namibia at the upcoming 73rd Miss World Festival.
The 20-year-old software development student from Ohangwena earned the national title following her victory as Miss NGO Namibia 2025, which took place during a prestigious competition on 20 September 2025. The event was attended by the Vice President of the Republic of Namibia, along with several senior government officials and national leaders.
Under a newly implemented structure, Miss NGO Namibia has been appointed as the official license holder for Miss World Namibia. With this transition, the winner of the Miss NGO Namibia competition now automatically assumes the title of Miss World Namibia—a format that will be maintained in future editions.
The formal transition ceremony was held on 31 January 2026, witnessed by high-ranking officials including Emma Kantema, Minister of Gender Equality and Child Welfare; Dino Ballotti, Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture; and Gaudentia Kröhne, Deputy Minister of Industries, Mines and Energy. Also in attendance was the Ambassador of the Indian High Commission to Namibia, alongside other distinguished guests.
Organizers described the occasion as a symbolic “transition from power to power,” emphasizing the evolving role of beauty pageants as platforms for leadership, advocacy, and meaningful social impact.
Elly Aron received her crown from Selma Kamanya, who previously represented Namibia at the 72nd Miss World Festival, where she achieved an impressive Top 8 placement and finished as Africa’s 1st Runner-Up.
With her new title, Elly Aron is now preparing to carry Namibia’s hopes and aspirations onto the global stage at the 73rd Miss World Festival.
